Creative Director _ Art Director

Hi there 👋

I'm a Creative Director based in London.
Before moving to the UK I've worked and lived in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Los Angeles.

I've worked with everything from local to global clients. Collaborating with everyone from Producers to Marketing Directors on every kind of project, from big pitches to small tactical campaigns. And in every type of agency, from giant holding networks to hip indie boutiques.

I'm also one of the founders and leaders of a social e-learning startup that teaches Basic English to people from less privileged communities in Brazil. Via Whatsapp. For free.

I guess you can get all that from my LinkedIn profile. But if you're interested in a bigger picture of who I am, here are a few things:

→ I'm the father of three boys. With them, I learnt to put things in perspective and the power of example.

→ I married my 10 year-long creative partner and love of my life. With that, I learnt that work-life balance is essential to stay sane, creative and happy.

→ I was educated in a primary school where 50% of the students had special needs. There I learnt how impactful diversity and inclusion really are.

→ I did many things before joining adland, including valet parking in posh restaurants in Hollywood. There I learnt to be fast but also extremely careful.

→ I spent most of my placement years in small agencies trying different stuff including account, production and copy. I learnt that creativity is a tool that everyone can master. I also learnt I was an Art Director.

→ When I was 26 I had the chance to run a creative department. I also had to make a few people redundant when the agency lost a big client. I learnt (the very hard way) that people come before their job posts.

→ I come from a challenger market. My hometown (and where I started my career) is not a big city. When I moved to São Paulo I learnt that the hands-on approach was the best way of making things happen.

→ I moved with my family to London without a job offer. Actually, I didn't have anything else than a suitcase and my European passport (grazie, Nonna). I learnt that bravery is a mindset.

→ I firmly believe that learning is the best thing a human being can do.
